TRAININGS

Educator Training:

The World Around Them: Early Childhood Science Pedagogy Training

Participants will learn how to support age-appropriate, “sciencing” environments for early childhood classes. The six hour hands-on workshop will dive into the world of exploration through the senses. Participants can expect to walk away from the workshop having a new level of efficacy in planning and lesson development with age-appropriate assessment techniques for cultivating early childhood “sciencing” while having fun sciencing themselves!

Problem-Based Learning: How to Cultivate It in Your Classroom

In this two part workshop, participants will learn how to take existing curricular materials and requirements and transform their students’ learning to engage the full spectrum of Bloom’s Taxonomy in an engaging way. This training is for instructors of all ages and allows participants to experience and plan a PBL unit for their classrooms, and receive a follow up coaching session to help in their implementation.
